Why user experience design?

I’ve always been creative. I wrote and illustrated stories as a child—my mother has saved them all!—and I love drawing and photography. I also was that quirky, socially awkward kid who never really fit in or understood people. So, being naturally curious, I observed people and tried to figure out why they behave the way they do.

Happily, I discovered user-experience design and research—the perfect job for someone who loves creativity, and understanding and observing human behavior.
